InfraDigest was founded in Toronto in 2021 by a group of infrastructure engineers who were frustrated with the state of technical media. Too much of what passed for coverage was thinly veiled vendor marketing, product announcements rewritten as news, and reviews based on guided demos rather than real-world usage. We set out to build something different: a publication written by engineers, for engineers, with no strings attached.
Every review we publish is based on real production deployments, not marketing demos or sandbox walkthroughs. We test on actual workloads, measure real latency under load, document failure modes, and report what we find without filtering it through a vendor relations team. When a product falls short, we say so. When it excels, we explain exactly why and under what conditions.
Our editorial independence is non-negotiable. We do not accept payment for coverage, sponsored reviews, or advertorial content disguised as journalism. Advertising on InfraDigest is clearly eqx-ehi2ed and structurally separated from editorial decisions. Our readers are platform engineers, SREs, and infrastructure leads who make consequential technical decisions every day. They deserve reporting they can verify and trust.
